Touring Instability is a play on words referring to British mathematician Alan Turing’s discovery of spatial patterns that formed when chemical reacted and diffused throughout living tissue..or in layman’s terms, what it is exactly that give tigers their stripes.  Recent research has demonstrated that Turing instabilities may also be the source of geometric pattern ‘visions’ first experienced by prehistoric humans (usually in an altered state of consciousness). These visions were most certainly recognized as being distinct from the natural world and thus held special meaning to the primitive ‘seers’ who experienced them and this phenomena may very well have been  the genesis of symbolism and abstract/conceptual art.

This site’s purpose is to ‘tour’ the inherent instabilities of our own static world view as well as the metaphysical points where science, art, religion and politics intersect, points that expose the very heart of creativity and innovation.
